Ever struggled with creating professional banners for your marketing campaigns? Whether you're running ads across multiple platforms or need banners for website, email or social-media in different languages, Banner Builder makes it incredibly simple to create beautiful, on-brand visuals without any design experience.
What Makes Banner Builder Special?
Think of Banner Builder as your personal design assistant. Instead of starting from scratch every time, you create smart Gen AI-driven templates that do the heavy lifting for you. Need the same banner design with 15 new key visuals in 10 different languages? Done in minutes. Want to test different background styles? AI handles it automatically.
The best part? You don't need to be a designer to create professional results.
Getting Started is Simple
⚠️ Browser Recommendation
For the best performance and full feature support, we recommend using Google Chrome at this time. Some functionality may not work as expected in other browsers.
From your Crop.photo homepage, just click "Banner Builder" and you're ready to go. The whole process follows a natural flow that feels intuitive - no confusing menus or overwhelming options.
Creating Your First Banner Template
The Power of Smart Templates & AI Fit
Instead of designing each banner individually, you create one smart template that can generate hundreds of variations. Think of it like a blueprint - you set it up once, then use it over and over.
But here's the really smart part: AI Fit Technology works behind the scenes to automatically optimize how your images fit within each banner size. When you upload product photos or lifestyle images, the system intelligently analyzes the content and determines the best positioning, cropping, and scaling - all automatically.
This means whether you're creating banners for Instagram squares, Facebook rectangles, or website headers, your key visual elements always look perfectly positioned without any manual adjustment.
When you click "Custom Template," you'll walk through three simple steps:
Tell us about your banner: Give it a name, set the size, and choose where you'll use it (social media, website, ads, etc.).
Add your text elements: These are the parts that will change - like headlines, offers, or call-to-action buttons. Associate your own style with your own brand fonts.
Include your visual elements: Add your logo, brand graphics, or any images you want to appear on every banner.
That's it! Your template is ready to work its magic.
The Power of Bulk Content
Here's where things get really exciting. Remember those text elements you added? Now you can fill them with content for dozens of campaigns or languages at once.
For Simple Projects
Just type your content directly - perfect for single campaigns or when you need just a few variations.
For Big Campaigns
Upload a simple spreadsheet (CSV file) with all your content. The system reads your data and creates individual banners for every row.
Imagine having a summer sale campaign that needs banners in English, French, Spanish, and German. Instead of creating four separate banners, you upload one file with four rows of content, and Banner Builder creates all four versions automatically.
Your spreadsheet might look like this:
Language: EN, Header: "Summer Sale", Subtitle: "Up to 50% Off"
Language: FR, Header: "Vente d'été", Subtitle: "Jusqu'à 50% de réduction"
And so on. The system handles the rest.
CSV File Details and Expected Outcomes
When you upload your CSV file, Banner Builder automatically creates separate content variants for each row. Here's exactly what happens:
Your CSV Structure:
Language,Variant,Group,Template Name,Channel,Header,Subtitle,CTA
EN,English,Fashion,Summer_Campaign,Social,Summer Sale,Up to 50% Off,Shop Now
FR,French,Fashion,Summer_Campaign,Social,Vente d'été,Jusqu'à 50% de réduction,Acheter
ES,Spanish,Fashion,Summer_Campaign,Social,Rebajas Verano,Hasta 50% descuento,Comprar
What You Get:
3 separate banner sets (one per language)
Individual tabs for each language variant in the interface
All content automatically mapped to your template text layers
Same layout and styling applied consistently across all languages
Content Inheritance:
The CSV format supports content inheritance so you don’t need to repeat the same text for every template. You can define content once at the:
Channel level – applies to all templates in that channel
Group level – applies to all templates in that group
Language level – applies to all banners in that language within a group or channel
Any inherited content can be overridden by template-specific or variant-specific values in the CSV. This means you can enter just a few key lines of content and have them applied automatically to dozens of templates.
Example of Group-Level Inheritance:
In the sample CSV below, content is defined once for the Seasonal Spark group in each language. This means all banners — even if there are 50 templates in that group — will use the same headings, offers, and taglines automatically. You only need to add template-specific text if something needs to be different for that particular template.
File Requirements:
Format: .CSV only
Size: No specific limit on rows
Encoding: UTF-8 recommended for international characters
Required Column: "Language" (all others are optional)
The system shows you a preview of your CSV data before processing, so you can verify everything looks correct before generating hundreds of banners.
Fine-Tuning Made Easy
Before generating your final banners, you get to review everything in the Fine Tuning Layout Settings. This is where you can make tweaks, adjust positioning, or try different variations.
The Layout Editor: Your Creative Playground
This is where the magic happens. Click "Layout Editor" and you'll see three panels:
Left side: All your banner elements listed out - text, images, logos, etc.
Center: A live preview where you can drag things around and see changes instantly
Right side: Controls for whatever you've selected
Want to move your logo? Just drag it. Need to resize your main image? Double-click any image and you enter crop mode - just like Figma! You can then:
Drag the corners to resize your crop area
Move the crop box to reposition what's visible
Zoom in or out to get the perfect framing
Click "Save and Close" when you're happy with the crop
This gives you pixel-perfect control over how your images appear in the final banners. Everything updates in real-time so you always know exactly how your banner will look.
And the best part: any layout decisions you make — image positions, sizes, or framing — are saved using our AI-Fit technology. That means tomorrow, when you run the same template with 10 different visuals, our backend AI will automatically apply your adjustments, perfectly resizing and positioning each new image to match your original design.

Important Note on Crop Zones & Safe Areas
When you double-click the key visual, you’ll see a blue crop zone appear.
Blue Zone = Safe Zone → This is the exact area your key visual will be fit into. Everything inside stays as-is.
Anything outside the blue zone will be filled automatically using the generative options you’ve selected (e.g., AI background expansion, pattern fill, color fill).
Example:
If you have a human model in your key visual and want to ensure their face and upper body remain untouched, position and resize the blue crop zone so those elements stay inside it. The AI will then generate content only beyond that area — perfect for extending backgrounds, scenery, or patterns without cropping into your subject.
Two Modes to Remember:
Red Zone (single click) → Zoom and pan your key visual within the frame.
Blue Zone (double click) → Define the safe zone boundaries your key visual must stay within.
This ensures you control exactly what stays fixed and what gets AI-generated, so your banners are always perfectly framed.
AI-Powered Backgrounds That Actually Work
This is where Banner Builder really shines. Ever had a perfect product photo that's just slightly too small for your banner dimensions? Instead of awkward white space or stretched images, AI intelligently fills the gaps.
Three Smart Options:
AI Generative Fill: The system looks at your image and creates more background that matches perfectly. It's like having a professional photographer extend your scene naturally.
Plain Background Extension: Perfect for simple backgrounds - the system smoothly extends solid colors or gradients without any visible seams.
Brand Color Fill: Use your exact brand colors to fill space, ensuring everything stays on-brand.
The clever part? You can choose multiple options and let the system generate different versions, so you can pick what works best for each campaign.
Control Where It Fills
Don't want background extension on all sides? No problem. Toggle which directions you want filled - maybe just extend the top and bottom, or only the right side. You're in complete control.
Example:
Layout Editor Setting :
Background Fill Type is set to "Plain Background Fill"and a "Solid Color" with Expansion Areas Selected: Top,Bottom, and Left
Result Banner :
Banner results showing a mix of Plain Fill combined with Solid Color Fill on the left due to Plain fill expansion not being selected for the left side in the layout editor.
Banner results showing a Solid Color Fill on the left and Right due to Plain fill expansion not being selected for the left or right side in the layout editor.
AI Auto Enhance
Enable "Auto Enhance Image Quality" option to automatically sharpen colors, edges, and overall clarity using our AI-powered retouching. It’s especially useful for smaller banners in paid media campaigns where every detail needs to stand out. The enhancement is applied without altering your brand colors — it simply improves sharpness, contrast, and visual clarity so your banners look crisp and professional.
Professional Buttons Without the Hassle
Turn any text element into a professional-looking button with one click. Choose your colors, adjust the borders, add some padding - and it automatically applies to all your language versions. No need to recreate buttons for each translation.
Important Note: When you enable button styling, the buttons will appear in your banner previews throughout the fine-tuning process, but they won't be visible in the Layout Editor canvas. This is normal behavior - the Layout Editor focuses on positioning and layout, while button styling is applied during the final generation process.
Your buttons will render perfectly in the final banner outputs with all the styling you've configured.
Works in Any Language
Speaking of languages - Banner Builder supports over 60 languages across different scripts. Whether you need banners in Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, or European languages, the system handles text rendering beautifully.
Your button styling, layouts, and proportions automatically adjust for different languages, so everything looks professional regardless of whether you're working in English or Thai.

Tips for Best Results
Start with good images: High-quality photos with clear subjects work best. The AI is smart, but it can't fix blurry or poorly lit images.
Test with a few first: Before generating hundreds of banners, try a small batch to make sure everything looks perfect.
Use Chrome: While Banner Builder works in all browsers, Chrome gives you the smoothest experience.
Keep it organized: Use descriptive names for your templates and content variants - you'll thank yourself later when you need to find something.
When Things Don't Go as Expected
Sometimes banners take longer to generate than expected - especially if you're using complex AI features or processing large batches. This is normal! The system is doing a lot of smart work behind the scenes.
If you run into issues, try using Chrome browser first (it handles everything more smoothly), and make sure your images are in JPG or PNG format under 50MB.
